Program and Applications

VIP applications for Summer Semester 2008 are now being accepted. Online applications are due by Thursday, April 24 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon). To apply, click here.

  • In Phase I of VIP students move from the business overview stage to a fully-developed executive summary or business plan for their ventures. Through workshops, group advising with an accomplished professional, and the use of VIP workspace, students are guided as they hone their venture concepts, explore venture viability, and ready themselves for possible venture implementation. This process takes a minimum of one semester, with students eligible to re-apply to Phase I for an additional semester contingent upon their progress and their advisor’s recommendations. Students must complete Phase I to be eligible for Phase II.
  • Upon successful application to Phase II of VIP, students have a maximum of 11 months to develop their ventures further, commence implementation, and develop a post-VIP venture strategy. In PII students retain access to all PI resources, and in addition receive individual professional advising, dedicated workspace, tailored workshops, and opportunities to apply for modest amounts of seed capital through the Wharton Snider Seed Award and the Wharton Venture Award.
