Private Equity

The Wharton School's many Private Equity offerings include world renowned research such as Prof. Raffi Amit's venture capital syndication studies, courses and extra-curricular programs. Students pursuing private equity (venture capital, mezzanine investing and buyouts) as a career can avail themselves to the student-run Private Equity club, conferences and the events led by Wharton faculty and alumni guest speakers. These alumni are part of the very active Wharton Private Equity Partners, which provides its members ongoing mentoring and support.

Private equity courses at Wharton are cross-disciplinary in nature. For instance, the "Venture Capital and the Finance of Innovation" course provides insight from an investor's perspective while "Venture Capital and Entrepreneurial Management" looks at the topic from an entrepreneur's standpoint.
