Entrepreneurial Intern Fellowship
Available to Undergraduates, First Year MBAs
The Wharton Entrepreneurial Intern Fellowship is awarded to students who plan to spend the summer in an entrepreneurial setting and who demonstrate both a commitment to entrepreneurship at Wharton and to pursuing an entrepreneurial career. The Fellowship Program seeks to identify outstanding individuals to serve as Ambassadors of Entrepreneurship, to promote the entrepreneurial career path to the Wharton student community, and to assist in providing continuity for this program after their summer internships.
Beginning in 2011, two types of Fellowships are available to students: Prequalified and Traditional. Prequalified Intern Fellowships are awarded to up to 4 intern fellows who will receive matching awards of $4,000 each. Award recipients have until April 22, 2011 to secure and commit to an internship at a start-up. If an internship is not secured by April 22, the fellowship is surrendered. Application Deadline is January 26, 2011 at noon.
Traditional Intern Fellowships are awarded after a student has secured his/her summer internship. The number of fellowships awarded will be determined by need and number of applicants. Awards will range from $500 to $5,000. Application Deadline is May 3, 2011 at noon.
